Three songs you should listen to tonight!

Happy hump day! Here are three songs that you should listen to today, hopefully it'll kickstart your evening and I will try to do this every so often.

Tokyo Police Club's new album came out yesterday and while it's not gonna be in the running for album of the year it's still a very solid album. It's also one of those albums where the first single is nowhere near the best song, at least on first listen. For me the early standout for best song is track #7, Toy Guns.

After the first all nighter of my BCIT career I was falling asleep on the bus today, so I threw Lonerism by Tame Impala on shuffle. The first song that came on was Why Won't They Talk To Me, and maybe it was my almost drunk state of tiredness but I saw this song in a completely new light. It instantly became one of my favourite Tame Impala songs and favourite tracks in general right now.

If you haven't heard of The Oh Hellos do yourself a favour and check them out. I only discovered them a couple of weeks ago and their album Through the Deep, Dark Valley is already one of my favourite folk albums front to back. I don't know if I have a clear cut favourite from them yet but Like The Dawn is definitely up there and the guitar reminds me a lot of the fingerpicking from Bloom by the Paper Kites, which I just learned on the guitar!
